A Journey of Self-Discovery and Creative Restoration

Are you feeling the strain?
Come and recalibrate your nervous system

and reconnect to your inner creative power,

and find your flow again.

This process invites you to explore your inner landscape, freeing your creativity from judgment and perfection.

Open the doors to your True Creativity:
~express your longings
~get more clarity
~quieten your inner critic
~create from your heart
~discover surprising solutions
~come home to yourself

Can you imagine how liberating it would feel for your mind, your body and your spirit to pick up a paintbrush, or dip your hands in paint, let go of all expectations, and paint like a young child?

What would it be like to empty your emotions out onto a page, and be held in the process, and not have it analyzed?

How would you feel if you knew that no one was going to judge you or your painting or drawing, or anything that you created? And imagine if you didn’t judge your own work either?

How would it feel to remain curious about your process, and be fascinated by your thoughts and by what you create?

What do you feel about the possibility of learning new ways to respond to your thoughts, and gaining tools for mastering your harsh inner critical voice?

Can you imagine the freedom you might feel in your body, if you could genuinely ‘go with the flow’?

Imagine having tools to recognize when you are not ‘in flow’, and know how to get back to a state of flow.

Here, you are welcome, with all your perceived flaws and self-doubts and confusion, all your vulnerabilities and uncertainty about your ability to ‘create’ or ‘paint’ or ‘make art’. Bring it all. I will hold a safe space for you, and everyone, to be who they really are, and we will do a lot of creating together in silence.

*No art experience needed*

This is not about art, it is about learning to connect to your deepest creative self and listen to your intuition (and maybe you will make art in the process). It is about learning the value of expressing and releasing emotional energy in the act of making something creative.

*This is not an art technique class!*

This is about your innate creativity, not your ability to make a pretty picture. It is about your commitment to your self-awareness, self-acceptance and your journey to wholeness. It is about your desire for transformation and your willingness to listen, respond and let go.

*This is not art therapy!*

The InFlowPainting Process Invites You To:

Learn about yourself, your thoughts, your emotions, and your responses to them.

Hear the voices of your mind: What do they constantly tell you about yourself and the world?

Notice the criticism and fearful thoughts, with curiosity and fascination.

Ask questions and listen for the quiet voice of your intuition.

Notice how, when you give yourself quiet space to go within, new ideas and creative solutions to problems pop into your head.

This can be life changing in a very gentle, subtle way.

Why InFlowPainting?

I often hear from people who come to InFlowPainting, that they want to feel more centered in themselves, and have more clarity in their thinking.

They feel stuck, ungrounded, unsettled in some way.

They are looking for more connection to themselves.

They want to experience more deep inner peace.

They want to quieten the inner critic and perfectionist.

They want to live with more flow and creativity.

They want to feel more free from within.

These people are not all artists, and some have not painted or made a drawing since kindergarten.

This is a process for anyone who wants to explore and ignite the connection to their Innate Creativity and the power that has to change how they think about themselves and their creative potential, and the world.

I created the InFlowPainting Creative Process – to help others to reconnect with their innate creative power.
For almost two decades, I’ve been hosting safe creative spaces for people, especially women, to (re)connect to their bodies and their “True Creativity” and witnessed hundreds of people transform their relationships with themselves and the world through the act of ‘making’ something.
I hope you’ll join me on this exploration into letting go, using whatever art materials you have lying around.
You cannot get this wrong!

Judi Quote Crop

“This surprising process gives real insight into where you are at, it is both fun and profound" ~ Judi

In the process of InFlowPainting, we hold a beautiful, safe, healing, nurturing silent space where you can go deep to reconnect with the whispers of your soul, using paint as your guide.
We focus on curiosity and fascination, not judgment or perfection. When we can let go of the need to create something perfect, the product that emerges ends up being beyond our wildest imaginings, and what we learn about ourselves in the process is priceless.
Your healing and wholeness will come from connecting with your deeper creative self, and learning to trust your intuition.

The Benefits of InFlowPainting

1. De-stress and relax your mind and body.
2. Become aware of what’s really going on inside your mind.
3. Notice how outcome and product constantly drive your performance, and how healing it can be to relax and let go of the attachment to making something perfect – feel the freedom of non-judgment.
4. Release blocked emotions and energy to free up your creative flow.
5. Open up your creative flow – yes, you are creative!
6. Improve your ability to problem solve creatively.
7. Learn to tap into your intuition and respond to its guidance.
8. Learn what it means to ‘be in your flow’ so that you can consistently return to this state of wellbeing.

What participants say about the InFlowPainting Process:
Naomi

The process allowed me to play and let my mind wander... and allows for one to explore some different aspects of oneself. You can just go and enjoy the day, connecting with your inner being, but it is no in the least bit heavy or intimidating. It is not a meditation, it is not a serious group therapy session, it is simply about allowing yourself to sit in quietness with yourself and express what arises ~ Naomi

Monica

I came to the workshop looking for a way to become unstuck... looking for myself... looking for clarity on choices I need to make... and every time I look at my painting I am inspired and encouraged by what I see. I see great potential and possibility... a journey to the core of my being.” ~ Monica

Joan

I really didn’t know what to expect. I went with an open mind and was amazed how it evolved,it really made me aware than from a deep dark place of anger in the end all is not dark and it was wonderful to end up with a lot of lighter colours and movement after being in a period of stagnation for so long.” ~ Joan

Bev

Brenda is an expert guide through the process and asks potent questions at just the right time. She holds space and bodies when emotions arise and provided direction with what tools to use where. I felt supported and loved the presence and camaraderie of the other women, understanding we are all on our own journey. I am not an artist but this process was transformative for me." ~ Bev

But How Does InFlowPainting Work Online?
Alexa

“I have done InFlowpainting twice with Brenda in-person, and I was curious to see how it would work online, not having her physical presence holding us... I was very aware that I had a supportive circle of other people painting with me, even though they were only virtually there... Throughout the sessions... she speaks to us with prompts and questions and guidance... to get us back into our bodies and out of our heads. I felt held within the whole process. ~ Alexa

Staci

“It was good to be able to hear other people, I didn’t look much at what they were doing during the process. When we did the group chats, it worked really well.” ~ Staci

Susan

“[The online experience was] surprisingly good. Was sweet to have a sense of a shared experience with the freedom to work in my own personal space.” ~ Susan

What About Materials for The Online Experience?

Any Materials That Make Interesting Marks and Layers Can Be Used!

InFlowPainting

USE WHATEVER YOU HAVE AT HOME

It is important that you are not precious about the materials you use.

IF YOU WANT TO USE PAINT:
I recommend starting with Tempera Paint (the stuff you used in kindergarten) and inexpensive paper.
Or any paint you may have.

AND. . .

If you don’t have access to inexpensive paints, use any materials that make marks.

If you don’t have access to paper, use an old cardboard box or the back of some wrapping paper.

Bring yourself.
Bring whatever you have to work with.
Everything is welcomed.

Tiffany

"InFlowPainting was a beautiful escape for me, time where I could go deep within myself and access my intuitive subconscious and just let go. It was a truly transformative experience for me doing what I love (and haven’t done for ages), and that’s paint! Brenda provides a beautiful safe space to allow yourself to get lost in colour, texture and form.” ~ Tiffany
